The satellite is co-organized by&nbsp;three Alzheimer and memory related consortia, MEMOSAD, MEMOLOAD, MEMSTICK, funded by EU Framework programmes. The focus is on the interactions of two&nbsp;key pathological Alzheimer proteins, amyloid-beta and tau, with cellular mechanisms that allow synaptic plasticity to happen when new information is to be stored in neural networks. The program&nbsp;includes presentation of the three consortia and short oral presentations given primarily by young scientists on the latest development in this rapidly evolving field of research.<br /><br />The meeting is free of charge and open to all who are interested. However, because seating is limited to 115 participants, advance registration is required.
